The street address will be provided upon ticket purchase. The party is at a private residence in the East Mesa area near Ellsworth and Baseline. Street parking is available, but please be mindful not to block driveways. We ask that you park around the green space across the street from the residence, and we strongly encourage using Uber and Lyft.

You don’t need to know anything about painting before showing up. Our instructors will talk you through everything you need to know, from how to mix paint colors to what sort of brush strokes to use. Want to customize your painting? They'll help you with that, too. Our studio is designed with a few details in mind, like keeping the painting space small and intimate and allowing our instructors’ voices to be heard over music and chatter. We promise to make it easy to hear and follow our artists’ instructions.

Plan for a full evening. This event will be approximately three hours long.
Most painters show up about 20 minutes early to set up their food, pour beverages, and enjoy a bit of downtime with their friends before the painting officially begins. We start right on time!

Painting can be messy (our paints are water-based acrylic and are non-toxic.) We recommend wearing old clothes that you don’t mind getting a little paint on. Even though we provide aprons, accidents can happen. So, dress comfortably and be prepared to let loose. Let's have some fun!

The event is 21 and over. Please bring ID for age verification. This is a BYOB event. We will scan ID's at the door.
Classes are paid in advance, and we provide 100% of your painting supplies, protective smocks, drink glasses, light snacks, and ice, so you don’t have to show up with anything except for your ID (unless you want to bring special snacks to share).
Individual lockers with keys are available to store your phone and personal items.

There will be a paint-free space for food and drinks. The studio will have a counter or table to accommodate food, bottles, plates, etc. Your painting table will have enough space for drink glasses and small snack plates, and people get up throughout the class to go back for seconds. Your instructor will also provide you with intermittent breaks so you can top off without missing a brushstroke.
Bottled water, lemonade, and light snacks will be provided. This is a BYOB event. If you partake, bring your favorite drink of choice.
We know that painting can work up an appetite, so feel free to bring your own snacks to share. Please inform the studio of any allergies beforehand.

J Anderson Studios is a smoke-free space. Smoking and vaping are prohibited both indoors and outdoors.

If you are 21 or older, you may bring your own unopened container of wine or beer to J Anderson Studios.
Please understand that J Anderson Studios is not a party facility but an art and photography studio that allows participants to bring their own beverages while they learn to paint.
Please consume any alcohol that you bring responsibly. We encourage you to take a taxi or carpool if you plan to drink.
Please be aware that if there are any concerns about your ability to drive a vehicle after leaving this event, any representative of the studio may contact the local police department to request a wellness check on your behalf, but they are not obligated to do so.

No cash donations will be accepted at the door. Due to the limited nature of this event, donations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value. All attendees must be 21 or older. IDs will be checked at the door.
